We’re already three months into the year, but we’re still making our way through products jumping onto the market this year. We’ve gone through new knives from CRKT, Zero Tolerance and a few others and today we’re looking at some of the new items from ESEE.

ESEE Knives, which focuses mainly on gear for the outdoors and survival situations, only has four new products slated for this year, but they definitely don’t disappoint.

ESEE-CM6

First up, we have the Terrill Hoffman-designed ESEE-CM6. It’s billed as the joining of “tactical and practical,” meaning the knife excels out on the battlefield or in the forests. It has a hefty overall length of 11.13 inches with a blade length of 5.88 inches. The drop point blade is made from 1095 carbon steel with a textured black powder coat. A canvas Micarta handle covers the full tang of the knife.

It comes with a black Kydex sheath.

Camp-Lore Bolieu RB3

For 2014, ESEE is introducing a new series of knives called the Camp-Lore. Right now there are only two products in the line, but it’s expected to expand quite a bit.

The RB3 is designed by a survival expert Reuben Bolieu and has a fairly thick black and handle that makes it easier to hold. The uncoated 1095 carbon steel blade features a scandi grind, and it has a nice Micarta handle. It comes with a leather pocket sheath.

Camp-Lore Gibson JG3

The second knife in the Camp-Lore line is the Gibson JG3, which is designed by bushcrafting expert James Gibson. Like the RB3, the JG3 will have an uncoated 1095 carbon steel blade and a Micarta handle. It also comes with a leather pocket sheath.

ESEE Fire Steel

The last new product for the year, which already came out in early January, is the ESEE Fire Steel. This 1095 carbon steel firestarter can be used as a fire-making tool with true flint, and its edges can be used as a rod striker. Additionally, the center divot doubles as a bow socket drill and the sides easily open bottlecaps.

The fire steel comes with a tin and instructions on how to start a fire.
