After a long, cold winter, spring is finally here. And there’s no better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than picking one of the best spring-assisted knives as the Badass Knife of the Week: the Kershaw Leek.

Good to hear you also enjoy the knife, John. The variety of colors is great because it gives you the option to pick, but then you also have the urge to collect them all. I’m eying the Olive Drab Leek.

I collect knives. As a woman it is crucial to be able to protect oneself. I have a variety of Leek knives. They are easy to carry and conceal. In hand to hand combat (self protection) I would choose to use this knife over a Ka-Bar any day. In the word’s of Susan B Anthony “woman must not depend on the protection of man, but must be taught to protect herself. “

This has been my everyday carry for the last couple of years. It’s such a fantastic knife, low profile and just all around solid piece. I lost my original stainless version (I thought) and then replaced it with a black version which I like even more. I opted for the partial serration for pure function.
