The knife is excellent. I have not used the rescue components yet, but likely will shortly in a training. The blade and handle are quite good, and I use the blade every day. The spring assist is nice, but does take getting used to as it opens the blade forcefully. The only drawbacks are no "safety," and that the belt clip fell off with in a week. The little screws fell out. I got a torx bit that fit, and several of the other screws were loose. The main reason for the safety is often times I put my hand in my pocket and the knife is opened. A holster or case with a belt loop would be fantastic.

This knife is a great one to have and carry around. The blade is clean and stays sharp longer than some of my other straight blades. I keep it in my tool box for any type of cutting that my come up. The finish stays on the knife. Has yet to ware off with use. Sweaty hands, greasy hands or any wet hands the finish stays on. The blade sharpens up very fast, stays sharp through out any task. I would recommend this knife to anyone that use a knife for any job that may arise during the course of a given day.
