Great little knife. Very different then any knife in my large collection. Sharp and a great edc knife. I only have one complaint which is why I give it 4 stars. The clip is ridiculous! I have the Emerson Commander which is a large knife and the clip on the K.I.S.S. is twice the size. Why CRKT did this I do not know. I removed the enormous clip and just put it in my pocket when I feel like carrying it. It locks up solid. No play at all. Cool design. But that stupid large clip has to go.

I purchased two of these for Christmas gifts and they were big hits. The burl wood handles are really neat looking. It isn't a small pocket knife but the size is just right for an above average sized man. Had one recipient remove the clip and the other that preferred to use it. I bought ten knives and these were among the best. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this blade.

I am very pleased with this knife I used it this deer season and used it to gut 7 deer in are deer camp also used it to skin. I know problems ripping through the ribs and only had to do a few minor touch ups with a steel along the way. Sharpened easy and stayed sharp, everything they said about this knife was true, would very much recommend this knife.

I was surprised how difficult it was to manipulate the release mechanism on the knife. You have to use a significant amount of force and the movement is minutely , it took some getting use to. A CRTK knife that has the simple extruding toggle on the side is far easier to open. Nonetheless is beautifully constructed and has a superior pointed tip.

The knife is slim, which doesn't take up much room in my pocket. It is sharp and well made. The only problem I have is it is somewhat difficult to learn to open, with having to unlock and open at the same time. I still like it enough to make it the main knife I carry.

More Information About Columbia River (CRKT)

Columbia River (CRKT)
Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT), is a Tualatin, Oregon-based manufacturer of knives, tools, and accessories founded in 1994.

CRKT means Quality. All CRKT knives and tools are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be built—without compromising quality in any part of their creation. CRKT accessories are crafted to the same standards as the knives, so that each sheath, for example, lives up to the customers’ high expectations.

Sport & Work Knives

CRKT continues to "think outside the box" by seeking out new and unique designs and mechanisms, just when everyone in the industry thinks they have seen it all. For example, the company is introducing the tiny McGinnis Shrimp, the

Gekkota Pocket and Golf, the ExiTool, Ta-Bar Tool, Norfork Diver and Whitewater, and Klecker NIRK— all exciting and unusual. At the same time, it continues to broaden it’s traditional knife models, including for the first time, Classic pocket knives, as well as the Centofante Tribute, Carson M4-02 series, and the Delegate and Vertex lines.

More natural and premium materials.

CRKT is continuing to specify the natural and premium materials that are common in the best custom knives, including more knives

with layered Micarta, G10, stag, jig bone, white bone, ram horn, and hardwoods such as thuya root, cocobolo, ebony, walnut, and burl.

CRKT Limited Lifetime Warranty: This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defect, we’ll replace the knife. This warranty runs as long as you own your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way.
