This knife is exactly what I wanted.

My first "True" throwing knife. My son and I bought two and they, along with the sheaths are really excellent quality. I can't speak for the balance since I don't have any others to compare, but it feels very good in the hand. I buy a lot of other knives and this one is very well made. It does come with a sharp edge, but holds up very well through our throwing gaffs.

This is a nice knife and case. It is high quality, as with every Gil Hibben knife I have purchased. It is a well balanced one piece knife. I have thrown for hours without any negative effects on the knife.

I bought the knife as a gift for a friend, but I did help him break it in. For the price and the quality it is a very good beginners throwing knife. The sheath was of poor craftsmanship though. It is real leather.
