We have 4 acres and one section still had a brush pile and invasive trees. It was on a hill where the land clearers had obviously pushed a section of the mud. So there was no cutting it with our riding mower. This tool made the job so easy, my husband cleared it in one afternoon. He loves it and I love the nice look we now have.

I needed a tool that would help me make short work of cutting away a heavy growth of vines that surrounded several trees in my backyard. The Long Reach Woodsman's tool did the trick. The sickle hook end help me get behind a vine and pull it away from the tree trunk. With a hardy yank the vine was cut into. If a vine was too large for the hooked end to make the cut, I just used the straight edge and WHACK... the vine was cut. The Long Reach felt good in my hand. It is well balanced and sharp. Nice tool.

The metal used is too soft and to thin unless you only use it to trim the rose bushes & small bamboo. Not the tool for the price. Do not recommend if your are wanting a tool to do real brush cutting.
