It hasn't broke yet! Most knives I get will have to be sent on for repair with in 2-3 months of hard use.

I am a Law Enforcement officer for the past 23 years and as to date have carried numerous different knives. About 4 years ago I bought my first Smith and Wesson HRT and since that time have never carried another knife on or off duty. They are the best high quality for fit and function. Blade holds a good edge and the blade coating holds up well to use. I bought 10 just to have spares.

I like Smith & Wesson knives and I think the quality vs. money is excellent. This knife the HRT model looks nice. I love the hilt in blade design but it does not open very quickly. It is a good durable knife and I do carry this one every day!
