I have the identical knife set from Chicago Cutlery that I have had for 30 years and it's still cutting just like the day I bought it. Chicago Cutlery is very easy to sharpen and the knives do keep their edge for a long time. The only thing I was disappointed in is the block itself. Mine is made of a solid oak block the matches the wood handles. The block that you get now is kind of cheep looking and is a lot lighter than the knife handles. I wish they would go back to making the solid oak block again.
