When a pocketbook manufacturing company burned down in 1911, many residents of West Bend, Wisconsin were out of work. Young Bernhard C. Ziegler, a local entrepreneurial dynamo, set out to find a substitute industry for the townspeople. He recruited six other men who, along with himself, each put down $1,000 to incorporate the West Bend Aluminum Company on September 27, 1911.
Today, West Bend Housewares is among the most recognized small appliance manufacturer in the United States and the West BendŽ brand is known multinationally for its quality products and service. Its facilities remain headquartered in West Bend, Wisconsin.

Marcia S. from Williamsport, PAIt works. The instructions are clear. It does exactly what I wanted it for. I do wish the kickstand had a broader base so that the timer would not tip over so easily.

Gene F. from San Francisco, CAI like my new timers. I have a three way timer a friend gave me around the mid 80's. It has worked all this time and I find it invaluable. It seems that every-so-often I have to clean it, very carefully. When I did that the last time - washing it - it stopped working. Bad Move. I Googled and found the Westbend web site and the new timers. At first I thought the cost was high, but after I shopped for a few days I found the price is right in line. In fact it's better than the others I've seen advertised. It's great being able to time spaghetti cooking, sauce heating up AND coffee. Easy and exact. Also, working for 24 years, or so, is a testament to the good design and good work. I didn't like the idea of counting UP from the end of a timed period. But as I have used the new ones that doesn't seem to be a problem, in fact it seems to be something good. My really old timer started working again after a week or so of drying out. NOW I have THREE timers and am enjoying them. Thanks to Westbend for the original and these new timers. Gene Forcucci

Joanne A. from Birmingham, MIThis timer is exactly what I wanted. It replaces the one I previously had which broke. It is easy to operate and does have only one fault. It frequently falls over. I have to lean it against something.
