I actually cut on one of the boards with no oil (with 2-guy Henckels), and noticed immediately that little slivers of bamboo were coming off. I stopped and ordered the oil. The slivers still come off, but not as noticeable now with the oil. The oil seems to soften the wood. I would think this a bad thing, normally, but if bamboo is so brittle dry then it would seem essential. Also, I am using high-end knives that are extremely sharp. With cheaper, home-grade knives I'm sure nobody would have any problems. Anyway, as far as the oil is concerned, 5 stars. Very different than that oak cutting board oil (mineral). Also, this product, and all others I've ordered through your site were delivered promptly and as advertised.

Kerry M. from Bethlehem, PANice stuff, easy to apply, and it works well. I use it on all my wooden cutting boards. It makes a big difference in cleanup and in the life of the board. Keeping the board oiled makes it look good, and prevents the wood from warping or cracking.
