The all metal handle is constructed with rubber spacers providing for a sure grip. The end of the aluminum handle unscrews to reveal a handy storage compartment for all the survival necessities.

As an Eagle scout, I will re-build the survival kit to suit my needs more, as I would suggest for anyone who purchases this knife. It is a little top heavy in the sheath and tends to fall either forward or backward, but this is easily rectified with a grommet or fabric loop and light weight 1/8" rope long enough to wrap around the leg and tie off with a simple knot I would buy it as a gift for my friends and family!
