Hummingbird Feeders
Hummingbirds are small birds that are known for their ability to hover in mid-air by rapidly flapping their wings. Capable of sustained hovering, the hummingbird has the ability to fly backwards or vertically, and to maintain position while drinking from flowers. Hummingbirds are attracted to many flowering plants, especially those with red flowers. They feed on the nectar of these plants as well as the sugar water they find at hummingbird feeders.
There are many imaginatively-styled hummingbird feeders available today, and most are made of plastic, glass, and/or ceramics. Hummingbirds will come to any feeder that holds fresh syrup, so you might as well buy one that appeals to you and is easy to maintain. If it's easy to fill and clean, you're more likely to do it on a regular basis. Regular maintenance is the best way to attract hummers to your hummingbird feeder.
