Paring Knife Selection
Where a chef's knife is too large and bulky, the paring knife fills in the gaps. The word "paring" actually means thin fragment or slice, and that's exactly what a paring knife will deliver. While peeling and chopping small foods, such as shallots, herbs and limes, the paring knife becomes an extension of your finger. Small in size, easy to maneuver and simple to learn to use, a paring knife helps you easily segment oranges, core tomatoes, peel potatoes and more. Knife Depot's wide selection lets you choose from dozens of plastic-handled, beak-tipped, traditional or even ceramic knives. Plus, you'll save on the best brands. Shop for your new paring knife today.

Knife is extremely sharp -- my husband is afraid for me to use it. But I guess that's what a knife should be. Perhaps you should notate that it's unusually sharp. It's shorter than I expected, but I obviously didn't calculate that correctly -- I was thinking it would be steak knife length. Was particularly looking for a serrated paring knife of the steak knife length. This was as close as I could come. Thanks for your attention to the matter.

Unique handle is weighted and balanced. It is excellent for gripping on small detailed paring. My first one was so great, it walked off. Had to send off for a replacement.

This was the best of all three, it was so sharp and easy to handle. It is still very sharp. I just love it and going to buy more!

When I first got the knife it was fine but didn't hold the sharpness.
