Great multi tool. AWESOME customer service!
Very good knife for a person with advanced knowledge of assisted blade technology.
Works good but is a tight fit with blunt nose pliers. Not as big as original.
Leatherman are the finest quality stainless steel, the tool is perfect for my type of work.
I kept a Gerber tool on me every day for 12 years until I lost it. After extended research of Gerber current products I purchased the Diesel. Note :I found my old Gerber after I purchased this one. In comparison the Diesel... Positive- The knife blade is wicked razor sharp. -The slide lock mechanism is improved design. -More tools packed into unit. -Wire cutters on pliers seem to be more rugged. Negative- Still has not loosened up to get a one hand flick lock.-Metal seems less durable (lighter gauge) and concerned about bending when firmly squeezing pliers on nuts etc.-New design of Phillips screw driver tool is poor and does not bite as well as original design. Overall I still love Gerber products and use it every day. It is a third hand I am now spoiled to do without. It makes a great gift for handy man and outdoors man.
Did not order this tool from here but I have had this for 4 years or so. Great tool, very handy for every day use.
Was a gift for my grown son who is a backpacker. He loved it.
The only problem with this tool is the choice of materials for the two clear plastic cheek pieces that allow viewing the interior workings of the tool. This cast plastic is brittle and arrived badly cracked, particularly around the attaching screws, but also elsewhere at seemingly random locations. Sooner or later, pieces of this plastic will fall off. Knife Depot honorably replaced this tool, but with another having the same problem. Knife Depot five stars, SOG in this case one star. I have kept the second tool - no sense punishing Knife Depot - and will be taking the problem up with SOG directly under their lifetime warranty.
