Fallkniven is one of the leaders of the Scandinavian school of knifemaking -- just ask the King of Sweden, who enlisted them as his official knife purveyor. They draw from a deep well of Swedish hunting and fishing tradition in order to craft some of the most durable and beautifully engineered fixed blade knives, hunting knives, tactical knives, and pocket knives on the market today.
Before they go on sale, every one of their products is quality tested at the Lulea University of Technology, and, as added insurance, Knife Depot will also back your purchase with our 60-day money-back guarantee.

I did a whole lot of research before plunking down this much for a knife and I'm very happy with what I got. No knife will win in the forum debates about which one is the best. The best is to be determined by the user's circimstances. My circumstances will be wet, a lot. I love a truly viable stainless steel option. This knife is that and then some.
Light, sharp and a smooth action, this a superb pocket knife.
The Fallkniven PXL is simply brilliant. It is not a folder you buy to just add another knife to your collection, it could be described as 'the' EDC folder. It is strong, beautiful and is meant to be used. But it is so incredibly beautify you won't want to. The knife looks extremely elegant and expensive, like a serious quality item. I have a Chris Reeve Subenza and the PXL is loads better looking, has more character and deploys much easier and stacks faster. In fact deployment on PXL is like lightening and its butter smooth. At first I was worried about the weight, but know I wouldn't have this knife any other way. The weight is a prerequisite to its durability and quality. This knife is made to last a lifetime. The size is perfect. It's only 3mm longer than a Spyderco Delica, which is a world proven EDC, however the PXL's size is perfect! Look after the 3G steel edge and it will look after you. Incredibly sharp and retaining edge. The Ivory model contrasts spectacularly against the polished stainless bolsters and blade. Has to be seen to be believed.
This is a simple yet incredibly high quality knife. One of the best knives you can buy from the best knife company in the world. Fallkniven of Sweden. Why? Because this knife presents as something that is very rarely offered in its class. It is over-engineered with the strength and philosophy of an outdoors knife, but with the practical and effortless slicing performance of a kitchen knife! So is summary its practical, strong and extremely light. What many people don't know is because the blade is laminated and has a convex edge it is the strongest knife for its footprint in the world. This means it can be used not just as a fishing knife, but also as a serious boning knife on more heavier duty game like beef carcasses. The VG10 steel can easily be made scary sharp. I have used it on a ranch to section beef carcasses and it 'lasers' through them. You can even use it in the kitchen when its not out fishing, hunting or processing meat on an industrial scale. And for those interested in a tactical kitchen knife they don't get much better than the Fallkniven F2z. If your interests meet these priorities and purposes this knife in highly recommended.
The diamond surface does an excellent job of renewing edge. Most of my knives are stainless coated hardened steel edges. I wasn't sure if the sharpener would be effective, but it is. I am very pleased.
I definitely am no authority on knives, but I wanted to get a good knife with which I could field dress and skin deer. I read some reviews, and the Fallkniven H1z seemed to fit my needs although I had no idea it had a convex blade. I also never knew it required a strop to sharpen it. Remember, I said I am not an authority on knives. I have used it to skin one deer. Like every knife I've ever used to skin a deer, it definitely was dull after I was finished. I bought a strop and compound, and I was able to get it sharp fairly easily. Some other reviews I've read prefer the older model Fallkniven (F1?), but I really like this knife. It is balanced well and does the job. It was fun for me to learn how to sharpen a convex blade, especially since I was able to do it successfully. I wish I knew more about knives so I could give a more-informed review, but I am very satisfied with this knife.
Good solid simple design with great steel. It's going to replace my fixed blade hunting knife.
