Almost every major law enforcement and military agency in the world has used Smith & Wesson products, and to this day, most police departments in the United States depend on our firearms and accessories.
We've been a partner to law enforcement since the late 1800s, developing crime-fighting tools that set the standard for the field. Our world-famous .357 Magnum® was developed specifically for law enforcement agencies, and the Smith & Wesson .38 Special has been adopted as the caliber of choice at one time or another by hundreds of police departments. In fact, our .38 Special is so popular, the Smith & Wesson Model 10 firearm that fires it is the only handgun in the world that's been in continuous production since it was introduced in 1899, and to date, over 6 million units have been produced.
We continue to search for high performance in our newest division, Smith & Wesson Advanced TechnologiesTM (S.W.A.T.TM). Through S.W.A.T., we're developing sophisticated technological tools that assist law officials at the city, state and federal levels. These guys are awesome. First knife I received, had a little wiggle in the blade. They sent me a replacement knife at no charge. Excellent customer service. Will definitely use them in the future.
It is a nice knif! It seems durable, that will be found out! So far so good. Great price at your website.
As a police officer, this knife meets the daily needs of the job. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to any professional.
I'd like to give this knife a higher rating but I can't. I was looking for a sturdy knife that would last quite a while under average pressure. Unfortunately after only a week or so, the knife began to fall apart, losing two pieces that hold it together. I usually carry the knife around with me but because it's breaking and I don't want to cut myself with it, I've left it at home to use there. The knife still works but I'm sure after some more use, it will break entirely.
This knife has a nice blade and an awesome look. However, it has a major drawback. The button release is not spring assisted therefore you have to open it with two hands or really flick your wrist with some force. Overall I was a little disappointed.
My husband has had this same exact knife, and it was getting worn out due to many years of use. I decided to get him the same knife for Father's Day. Well due to my surprise, there is no spring in there because they said it was illegal for them to sell it that way,... Pretty disappointed with it all. So basically now the knife is of no use to us.
