The Smith & Wesson H.R.T. (Hostage Rescue Team series) Tactical boot knife is an excellent product, made of 440C non-stick coated stainless steel with an ABS handle, for an extremely lightweight and durable carry that is military-grade tough and gives a steady grip. The blade has two edges--one blunt and one sharpened--for good versatility and a great boot fit. The boot knife is full tang for maximum strength, and its integrated sheath system keeps the blade securely locked in place when not in use. A dagger-style knife, the Smith & Wesson H.R.T. is great for everyday use, or even for competitive throwing!

Very nice, made well keeps a edge which is nice. I really like the nylon sheath there is no noise when walking and it is fast and easy to remove the same when putting knife in the sheath.

I bought this knife for my husband to use as a boot knife when he is on duty as a police officer. The knife is exactly what he hoped to get but we couldn't find by shopping in local stores. When I saw this knife online I thought I would buy it for a Christmas gift to see if he would be able to use it. He loves it! It is excellent quality and has a good weight to it. Now my son wants one!

This is a nice little knife at a great price! I carried a similar one with me everywhere I went in 'Afghanistan'. A handy, tough little knife at a great price. I'm going to order some more soon for family members.

I am pleased with the knife but it is extremely difficult to remove it from the sheath without pulling the sheath up with the knife.

It is a solid blade,is full tang, and double-edged with one sharp and the other blunt. It also has a good rubber grip and sized well to accommodate boot wear. The plastic sheath is leather and would be more comfortable in the boot.

This is a good knife, I only am disappointed that a Smith and Wesson product could be made in china.

Nice lightweight boot knife. Really need to push knife in sheath to make it stay. Clip kind of tight for boots of today, but overall knife 5 and case 1 therefore it averages a 3.

A great knife, just not what I was looking for. The sheath was too thick to fit comfortably in my boot and the clip was not well designed to fit on the top of the boot. Excellent if you use it on a belt though.

Nice knife - very well made & sharp, but only has sharpened edge on one side.

The knives are perfect for my competitive knife throwing and my issue is not with the knives. The shoulder harness, however, is functional. I bought two of these sets and in both cases the knives do not stay within the harness and simply fall out in the floor or stick in my foot(kidding). But seriously, I was very disappointed in the harness. It was actually the driving force in my purchase of this particular set. Once again, the knives are prefect and I an very pleased with the product.

Smallish knife with a very tough black coat on the blade. It "pops" into the sheath but is held in very securely. The handle is small for my hands, which are average in size. The knife comes only reasonably sharp and only with one edge sharpened. In other reviews I saw it came double edged. This was disappointing. I also had to get a whet stone when it lost it's edge within the first week. Sheathe comes with a removable clip and holes all down the sides of the sheathe for lacing it into a boot or into the webbing of your tact vest. Ok knife. Decent for the price, but you get what you pay for. I do like it but if I looked again I would get another boot knife.

Your average boot knife. Great protective sheath. Is a very sharp and handy knife

The knife is very nice and carries well. The only problem I have with it is that in the description and the photo it appeared to be a double edged boot knife and it turned out to be a single edge. The knife was purchased for my partner who is serving in the Army in Iraq. I have had no complaints on its durability as of yet.

Love the knife, do not like the kydex sheath. I am a cop and carry the knife on my off-side the sheath is in two parts, the actual sheath and then the clip. The clip comes detached on fast, hard draws of the knife. I supperglued the clip on to the sheath and seems to work o.k. now. I would like to see something other then a friction lock to secure the knife. I have had the knife fall out of the sheath once while crawling in the prone position. The knife quality is good.
