Kershaw Ken Onion Leek Pocket Knife (Rainbow Plain Edge)
The Kershaw Leek may very well be the perfect EDC and the Rainbow version is a sight to behold.
Billed as the most spectacular Leek ever, the Rainbow Leek was so well-received, it earned the Overall Knife of the Year award when it first came out.
Curated by world-renowned custom knife maker Ken Onion, the Rainbow Leek features a 3-inch, Sandvik 14C28N steel blade and a reliable frame lock. But what sets this version apart from the others is the multi-colored finish that comes from a high-tech process known as Physical Vapor Disposition (PVD).
To get the rainbow color, metals were ionized with a high-current, low-voltage arc then placed in a vacuum chamber along with the Leek's parts. A negative voltage was introduced and a micro-thin layer of metal permanently coated the blade and handle. By introducing titanium oxide and oxygen to the process, PVD is able to create the rainbow coloring you see on the Rainbow Leek.
It's entirely functional and made to be durable, but the rainbow finish of the knife provides a unique style that you'll be proud to display anywhere.
When you need the Leek in a pinch, all you have to do is pull back on the flipper or use the thumb stud for a quick engagement.
The reversible pocket clip allows you to carry the knife either tip up or tip down and the assisted opening mechanism makes it easy to engage with one hand. That means the Leek is exactly where you want it when you want it.
Whereas many manufacturers are looking overseas for production, the Kershaw Leek bears the "USA" marking, so you know that the knife is made in the United States.

This knife is absolutely beautiful! Almost every person I showed it to said "Wow". It looks and feels like a quality blade and has a very sharp edge. I highly recommend this knife. As a side note, service and shipping from your website is awesome.
Nice finish, well made and comfortable in the hand.
This is a great looking knife. I like the lock that prevents it from accidentally coming open. Glad I ordered it!
I LOVE this knife! I'm a mom of boys that love to 'hike' and I wanted a short to medium blade length with a slim 'pocket' profile, that was also easy maintenance in case it got wet. This knife fit the bill and is beautiful to boot! The titanium coating is so beautiful and (not to scare off any 'manly mans') but several of the other moms now want one! BTW it IS razor sharp, but is SO easy to open and close, and as a mom, I loved the safety catch feature! It worked beautifully on some 'wild apples' we foraged on a recent hike. Thank you to your site for a wonderful knife!
This is the best knife I ever had and all my friends say the same. I gave one to them and my children and they all love it!
It is great product and we use it a lot!
My Kershaw Rainbow Leek is definitely the nicest "user" knife that I currently own. It opens easily (with the assisted open feature) left- or right-handed. The framelock feature allows it to solidly lock open. The safety effectively keeps it closed when you want it to stay closed, though it's a little inconvenient to unlock if you want to open the blade quickly.m None of my other assisted-open knives exude the quality that the Kershaw does. It just "feels" solid. Thumbs way up!
This knife is one that catches the attention of many who see it. Everyone ask where I purchased the knife, what it is made of, and they comment on how easy it is to handle. I am an EMT and it has been a great help to me on the job. The fact that the knife is equiped with a spring assisted blade, if very helpful. Hopefully knives get better and better.
Well balanced and designed knife; beautiful finish, extremely sharp and well shaped edge.
