KA-BAR USMC 7" Tactical Knife with Brown Leather Sheath, ComboEdge
During the height of World War II, the U.S. Marines sought a fighting and utility knife that could meet the needs of the elite fighting force. That's where the legendary KA-BAR Fighting utility knife comes into the picture.
With the quality that you can expect from a standard issue knife for the Marines, the KA-BAR has many of the features that made it a constant carry for numerous armed servicemen and women both at home and abroad.
But before we jump into the admirable specs of the knife, to understand why the knife is truly formidable, we must first take a look at its rich history.
In response to a request for a modern fighting knife for the Marines, USMC Colonel John M. Davis and Major Howard E. America worked with what would become KA-BAR knives to develop the knife we know today.
The 7-inch carbon steel blade features a black, non-reflective epoxy coating and a partially serrated edge that comes razor sharp right out of the box.
Its stacked leather handle was designed to offer a better and more comfortable grip while the steel crossguard prevents the knife from slipping out of your hand in tough weather conditions.
All of these unique features, coupled with the included leather sheath, add up to create a knife that is perfectly stealthy and suitable for jobs that require the utmost precision and efficiency.
The sheath has the USMC Eagle and Globe crest.

Making a quality KA-BAR product requires the talent of experienced craftspeople performing dozens of processes with precision and skill. Each knife undergoes specific manufacturing processes to ensure corrosion resistance, strength, edge holding ability, and an out-of-the-box razor sharp cutting edge.
Soon after its introduction in the mid-1920's, the KA-BAR trademark became widely known and respected. There have been many versions of how the KA-BAR name came to be, but all evidence points to a letter received from a fur trapper. This particular fur trapper's testimonial turned out to be the most significant ever received by the company.
He wrote, in very rough English, that his gun had jammed and that he had therefore relied on his knife to kill a wounded bear that was attacking him. In thanking the company for their quality product the trapper described using his knife to kill the bear. All that was legible of his scrawled writing was "k a bar". The company was so honored by this testimonial that they adopted this phrase and used it as their trademark, KA-BAR.

This is a great knife, and a real piece of American history! Good quality and the steel is 1095
I have 300 knives is all varieties, but wanted absolute and simple reliability for my AR-15 carry bags. These were perfect.
The serrated straight edge combo truly makes this knife I spent 12 years in the USMC (United States Marine Corps) I had very much enjoyed my straight edge KA-BAR I was issued when I first join the Marines but after 12 year I thought it was time to get a new knife I still have the other one but its been through some pretty rough time I thought instead of using it tell it broke I would hold on to it and just upgrade to the serrated straight combo the idea being this knife I enjoy more than my issued one good knife same US made quality as a soldiers knife. Semper Fi
An excellent knife. It was purchased to present to a Marine being deployed to Afghanistan.
I was impressed with the quality of the product. Well done. Good edge - required no sharpening other than the factory edge.
I am a former United States Marine and in 1959 I was issued a K-Bar. I was allowed to keep this knife when I was discharged in 1964. In 1988 I gave my knife to my son who is now a Master Sargent in the 10th Special Forces Group United States Army. He has used MY K-/bar several times as he has deployed to tactical in Iraq and Afghanistan fourteen time so this says it all about the K-Bar.
It was a great pleasure doing business with you. The USMC knife arrived just 2 days after my order and it is beautiful. A gift for my Marine grandson who is leaving for Iraq in two weeks with his air-wing from the air base in Beaufort SC. Thanks again!
It was excellent deliver time and an excellent product!
It is a tough knife for though jobs!
The knife is sturdy, incredibly sharp, and arrived quickly from the day on which it was ordered. The Marine Corps logo shows up really well.
The history of this knife speaks for itself. It feels like destiny uniting your hand with it's natural compliment. This is one of the sharpest, most useful knives I've ever held.
this is a good, simple knife! I'm sure it will last a long time.
I've only used this knife on a limited basis, however, it has worked fine in this respect.
The knife if great. Exactly what I expected. The sheath however is a cheesy knockoff of what a good sheath should be. Made in Mexico, stamped with KABAR and USMC....lame. The construction is probably adequate, but it looks and feels cheap. Actually I'd kind of be ashamed to be seen with it. I was hoping for a respectable, plain, solid, hardworking sheath which would complement the same qualities in the knife. So....the knife itself is great, but the sheath sucks.
