Smith & Wesson is one of the world's most recognizable brands, and for good reason. Since we first opened our doors, we have focused on designing and manufacturing innovative solutions that are unparalleled in the field of personal safety and protection. Almost every major law enforcement and military agency in the world has used Smith & Wesson products, and to this day, most police departments in the United States depend on our firearms and accessories.

We've been a partner to law enforcement since the late 1800s, developing crime-fighting tools that set the standard for the field. Our world-famous .357 Magnum® was developed specifically for law enforcement agencies, and the Smith & Wesson .38 Special has been adopted as the caliber of choice at one time or another by hundreds of police departments. In fact, our .38 Special is so popular, the Smith & Wesson Model 10 firearm that fires it is the only handgun in the world that's been in continuous production since it was introduced in 1899, and to date, over 6 million units have been produced.

We continue to search for high performance in our newest division, Smith & Wesson Advanced TechnologiesTM (S.W.A.T.TM). Through S.W.A.T., we're developing sophisticated technological tools that assist law officials at the city, state and federal levels. We bring the same high standards of craftsmanship and precision quality to our technology solutions as we do to everything else we make.

As a company, Smith & Wesson continues to flourish and grow. We are committed to strengthening our core safety and security business, and we are prospering through synergistic alliances with other best-of-breed experts in their field. The same innovative, forward-thinking spirit that drove Smith & Wesson in the beginning still inspires us today, and we look to a future of continued leadership, quality and craftsmanship in products and services that enhance public safety, security and protection all over the world.

Hello, this knive is excellent.I am a collector both fixed and lockblade. The Smith&Wesson first response is by far one of the better ones. Not just for the professionals.,but for the average citizen also. Why I like this knive is that it well designed and high-tech appearance. Surely it will last for at least 100 years,of that I've no doubt. If Smith&Wesson puts their name on this product it has to be good,.....Thank you.

The knife appears to be perfect in every way. It does everything it's supposed to do and it's easy to carry. My only complaint is I wish it was made in America and not China.

Well made. Haven't had to use it yet, but it promises to be a useful tool for fire/ems vehicle extrication. Hope I never have to use for bailout, but you never know, and it looks as though the serrated blade can do the job through drywall absent the availability of larger tools.

I have used that knife just about every day I have had it from: cutting apples, leather to cutting small bush limbs. I have spoken to several people who also received the knife and they are very happy with them. This knife if very durable!!

The knife is the perfect size and weight. The blade comes extremely sharp and easy to flip-out. I believe my uncle is going to be getting one soon because he liked it so much.

My husband does landscapping and he uses the knife all day long and loves it.

Nice heavy solid feeling knife. On closer inspection however you'll find that the blade has white (nylon?) bushings which hold the blade tight. On quality knives you would expect it to be all steel. Also, the locking mechanism, while effective, is merely a thin piece of spring-steel rather than the traditional locking mechanism. The knife comes sharp, but I have not abused it enough yet to know how well the edge will stand up to use. Overall, a decent knife. Hopefully the knife will hold up but I have my doubts that it can handle rough abuse.

Previously bought this exact knife and loved it....would rate it a 5. I ended up losing the knife and was so disappointed I bought a new one. Well the knife looks exactly the same the problem is when it opened it wouldn't lock into place. Major safety concern!! When I use it I risk cutting my own finger off because it doesn't lock into place. Never complained since I'm typically not that type of guy. Cleaning out my email inbox and felt like voicing my opinion for once.
