The Smith & Wesson SWMP1B Military & Police Knife is a tough folder that will perform so reliably it'll be your new favorite everyday carry in no time.

It starts with the wicked sharp blade. The scooped back design and modified clip point create a unique profile that's both functional and badass. A slight recurve on the edge offers more strength and versatility while an aggressive point at the tip allows you to make penetrating cuts with ease.

Black coating on the blade helps reduce the overall reflective properties of the steel and complement the aesthetics of the knife.

But the real magic of the knife shines through the assisted-opening mechanism known as M.A.G.I.C. (Multipurpose, Assisted, Generational, Innovative cutlery). Once you begin to open the blade with the dual thumb studs or flipper, the M.A.G.I.C. mechanism does the rest. The liner lockup on the knife is swift and reliable. A safety switch ensures the knife never opens accidentally.

The handle may not look like something you want to grip for hours on end, but once you get the knife in your hands, you'll be singing its praises. Although the handle scales are made from aluminum, strategically placed rubber inserts provide comfort and tactility.

A few bonus features adorn the knife, including a glass breaker at the butt and a pocket clip for easy carry.

I love this knife. I wanted a knife and told myself I wouldn't buy one until I found one that I felt like I absolutely HAD to have...then I saw this one. Right out of the box the opening assist worked perfectly (there was no lubrication required, as some previous reviews stated); however, I was a little surprised at how dull the blade was. I sharped this knife right after opening it and it has held very nicely. I wear this knife everywhere and use it all the time. The only item I wasn't expecting is how quickly the gray finish on the metal rubs off. I have it clipped inside my pocket (knife inside pocket, clip on outside), so I'm not sure if that contributed to it. Either way, I'm still really pleased with the knife.

In general a great knife. It's curved blade is a wow factor to my buddies on the job, the open assist is nice too. The grip is great and it fits right into my palm.(I have huge hands too!). It comes with a clip that's tight too, not loose like some other products Summary: If you're looking for a stylish, sharp, and quality knife for everyday use(or just to have around), it's worth the money. Get this knife.

A very good knife which has lived up to the description and met every expectation: easy one handed release, holds edge, tough won't break easily, nice styling and many nice features like the auto glass breaker if you get stuck inside and need to get out fast when the doors don't work. This is my everyday knife, love it

Your products look nice and sturdy. My problem with these knives from I've read, is the warning of California Proposition 65.

Little on the small size, but the blade design is good. There is an issue with the safety features of the knife and quick opening becomes a challenge.

Just the right size for carrying in my pocket, but I have noticed that if I have other objects in my pocket, like keys, they begin to rub the paint off the knife. It is starting to show silver around the edges.

Knife function and sharpness are very good. Manufacturer needs to reevaluate plating process. Black oxide scratches easy and expose metal to oxidation.

I already own this knife personally. I was looking for a one-hand operated knife for my wife. We own country property which requires the use of a knife daily in many ways. The one-hand feature is a notable plus. I have come to appreciate carrying a knife where it is quickly accessible and immediately available for use. When she received this knife as a gift she commented on it being a 'neat looking' knife. She appreciated the ability to bring it to action quickly but struggled a bit closing the knife. Within 10 minutes she was able to open and close the knife with ease. She has also figured out how to close it with just one hand. So getting it back to safe places in a safe way with one-hand is a definite plus. She likes the clip feature and is easily opening feed sacks, boxes,as well as using it as a quickly available 'tool' for many other appropriate functions. We both recognize the 'value' of this knife in that it is relatively low priced knife that is tough, easily accessible and usable and easy to replace should that ever become necessary. In the meantime, as opposed to many other knives we own, it is very 'usable'. We like that. We think its a great knife.

A little small for my taste, but I'm a big guy. the blade came sharp and a little stiff when opening, but a drop of oil fixed that no problem felt sturdy and strong, over all a very good buy

I like the knife but the black finish is wearing off on the edges already and I've only had it a couple of weeks. I only keep it inside my pocket and it shouldn't be wearing off that easy.

Nice knife opens well and holds an edge. Don't drop it I did sitting at my desk and broke the actuator button it should be able to handle a 2 foot drop on the floor! I would not recommend the assisted opening for that reason.

An okay knife, the assist is very stiff and difficult to open but its got a nice blade.

Great blade. Very sharp, not like it's big brother which is not real sharp at all. This one is a little hard opening but still a very good knife.
