I've owned Old Timer knives off & on for 40 years and have always been satisfied. This knife is a good size for a pocket knife. It's larger than a pen knife, but small enough that you don't need a sheath. I like a 2 bladed knife, with opposing blades, and this one fits the bill. The blades are almost as long as the closed knife, whereas some knives look long but have shorter blades. These blades are thin, sharp, and pointed, and do not dull easily. The ribbed, 2 tone handle with the words "Old Timer" inset is curved so it fits my hand when cutting or slicing. This is not a flashy knife, but rather a nice looking working knife that fits all my needs.

I've had this knife since the early 1980s when it was given to me as a gift. I carry in my pocket daily to this day. When I thought of what gift to give my nephew on his 18th birthday, I decided to give him this knife, hoping he'll like it and have it for as many years as I've had mine. He was thrilled to get it.

I have owned several Schrade improved muskrat knives. I am very active in the outdoors.I have been active in processing both game animals and furbearers for a life time. The two blade they do a good job for me. Good quality steel easy to sharpen. The last one I purchased was many years ago. If these new knives serve as well and are of the same quality I will be very happy with this product. Certainly a recommended product.

I have had this model old timer for over 25 years and carry it with me 75% of the time, It has field dressed many of deer and small game over the years, and makes an excellent all around pocket knife. The blades have started to get quite thin from countless sharpening. I decided to purchase a new one for myself as well as one for my 45 year old son. What a great piece of equipment made by Schrade. Still lots of life left, this old timer will retire to my tackle box.

I bought this knife for a stocking stuffer for my husband for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it. He says the Schrade brand is the best knife he's ever had, and he carries it with him everywhere when he's on the farm or on the job.

This is an all time favorite pocket knife for my husband. He takes it everywhere he goes. It gets worked roughly as he is a mechanic. Stands to the test. Holds an edge and keeps going. This pocket knife is a great buy!

The only knife I carry. My muskrat does everything from cutting twine to gutting deer or peeling an apple. P.S. Don't ever wash the knife!

I have carried the Old Timer Muskrat 2 blade pocket knife for over 30 years. The only reason I buy new one is because I have lost the previous one. They last forever. The blades retain their edge like no others. I have used this knife from everything from a steak knife to cleaning and skinning Elk. I am never without it. A very superior knife.

I find this knife to be an excellent product! It holds an edge much better than an $80.00 and I bought from a knife store in Portland, OR a year ago and fortunately lost.

My husband swears by this knife. We had gone to several stores to purchase this knife and we never found one except on line. I bought 2 so he would always have one. He is a trapper and this is the only knife he carries on him. He uses it at his place of work also. He says its the best knife and would recommend it to anyone. Buy one and see for yourself.

What can I say? I've carried a 'muskrat' for as long as I can remember and then I lost it. Online, I found your company, ordered an exact replica of the knife I'd lost and you folks did a very commendable job in getting the new one to me. Your staff has my deepest "Thanks".

I protect this knife, dreading the possibility that I might lose it. When I take it out of my pocket, I put it in the jewelry drawer. It is a great knife!!!

I have carried the Muskrat for the past 50 years replacing it several times. I love the new one and especially the stainless blades. I was delighted to fine it on the internet after an unsuccessful attempt at the sources I used to buy them at. I bought one for my son-in-law to add to his knife collection.

I bought the knife for my husband, and he liked it because it had two pointed blades instead of one pointed and one rounded blade. Also, he liked the fact that it was VERY sharp...he didn't have to sharpen it right out of the box...he said some pocket knives are kind of dull right out of the box, but not this one!

The Old Timer Muskrat has thin narrow blades which makes skinning game easy. This knife is durable and easy to sharpen. I have owned several in the last 30 years and the new ones that are made in China are the same quality. However, this is not a lock blade which could pose a problem for some.

My husband had an old timers knife years ago and he lost it and haven't been able to find another one. I got on the computer to see if I could find it there. Well I found your Webb site and ordered it. I gave it to him for his birthday and he just loved it so much that he couldn't show enough people his new knife.

This was a replacement for an earlier version of the same knife that I have carried for years. I had to replace my older version due to abuse that caused the blade tips to break off. Recent improvements have made the knife easier to clean and maintain. It is an excellent product that holds a good edge and is a much more compact and useful knife than many other brands on the market.

I like the Old Timer knife and I have already field dressed three deer this year with it. I have owned two or three Old Timer knives in my life and I enjoyed all of them. They were all quality knives and I will be buying more for gifts for grandsons. We might as well have a good knife the first time and the Muskrats is that knife. Thank you!

I had lost my "Old Timer" pocket knife that my kids gave me years ago and was looking for a web site to buy another. It only took a few minutes to find my "old" knife on your web site and order it . It was recieved in a couple of days and the transaction was great. My new knife was even better than the old one.

My son received the knife on Monday before Christmas. On Christmas Eve, he was trying to open a 50 cent toy with the knife and cut himself in the web of his hand. After two stitches and an ER/Dr bill of $1500, we continued on our way for our Christmas activities. I say this to say the knife was sharp and ready to use right out of the box. I would recommend this knife to another and would buy from you again. I say all of this because I am sick of the idiots who do something stupid and refuse to take the blame. Thanks for a good product at a great price!

I ordered 2 ,his old muskrat was a lot better grade of steel, he uses them at work he said he could not get the blade sharp, so he put them away in the drawer, and is still without a knife.
