For the price paid, this is an excellent knife. Since this knife is a "dagger-type" blade (spear-point), The blade has a narrow scope of application. The 7Cr17MoV steel takes a good edge (as does Schrade's "Sharpfinger" skinning knife). This knife can be used for some hunting applications, but without the curved blade similar to that of the Sharpfinger and other knives made by Schrade, it limits the knife's uses. I like this knife and will be seeking a sheath that will conceal the knife either down my back (behind the neck) or a horizontal belt carry. Discretion, being the better part of valor, is the very essence of keeping this knife a "secret" until it is absolutely necessary to deploy it.
My knife arrived well built and sturdy. The sheath is of good quality and happens to match my gun belt and holster. It was purchased as a companion piece for my single action revolver. Perfect. Old school cool!
If you love old timers then this knife is a must for your collection! Comfortable wearing in your boot or on your body the grip feels good in your hand and it's just a overall well made knife.
Old timer quality. What more needs to be said. Fits great in my boot.
I plan on buying 6 more of these items, they are perfect. They are great, they are very finely made knives. Tough handle material full strong tang, one piece steel very well balanced.
Very pretty, clean lines and well made.
One of the best boot knifes I have love it and plan to get another one to have a match set.
No complaints really! Knife is very solid with sturdy spear point blade and comfortable handle. I think all boot knife sheaths should come with a metal clip for easy attachment and release from boots but I also understand this is an old timer series and has a very old school sheath. I was pleased with my purchase!
