This strikingly minimalist folding knife is the perfect marriage of bone and steel. Its genuine stag handle has a more "finished" look, with an end that's rounded off rather than left rugged. A touch of the wild still comes through in its scored surface, The drop point blade of this knife would be just as comfortable on a dedicated hunting knife, and you can use it for similar slicing tasks. And not just for big chunks of meat, either -- use it on fishing line, craft materials, cardboard boxes, and more.

Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT), is a Tualatin, Oregon-based manufacturer of knives, tools, and accessories founded in 1994.

CRKT means Quality. All CRKT knives and tools are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be built—without compromising quality in any part of their creation. CRKT accessories are crafted to the same standards as the knives, so that each sheath, for example, lives up to the customers’ high expectations.

Sport & Work Knives

CRKT continues to "think outside the box" by seeking out new and unique designs and mechanisms, just when everyone in the industry thinks they have seen it all. For example, the company is introducing the tiny McGinnis Shrimp, the

Gekkota Pocket and Golf, the ExiTool, Ta-Bar Tool, Norfork Diver and Whitewater, and Klecker NIRK— all exciting and unusual. At the same time, it continues to broaden it’s traditional knife models, including for the first time, Classic pocket knives, as well as the Centofante Tribute, Carson M4-02 series, and the Delegate and Vertex lines.

More natural and premium materials.

CRKT is continuing to specify the natural and premium materials that are common in the best custom knives, including more knives

with layered Micarta, G10, stag, jig bone, white bone, ram horn, and hardwoods such as thuya root, cocobolo, ebony, walnut, and burl.

CRKT Limited Lifetime Warranty: This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defect, we’ll replace the knife. This warranty runs as long as you own your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way.

Hands down by far the very best knife I have ever owned as far as precision design and manufacturing. This knife not only is gorgeous but once its in your hands, you know that you are holding a very well made knife. Although the outburst assisted opening is stiff at first, the more its used the better it becomes. Very Very impressive knife.

Great little pocket knife. Heavy weight and backbone. LAWKS system is great! As well as the assisted opening feature.

I broke the tip off my knife that I had carried for 17 years, I didn't think I would be happy with another knife that I liked as well as I did that knife. To my surprise I was impressed right from the bat. I love this knife, it would have been a bargain at twice the price as the saying goes. I look forward to carrying it for many years.

My CRKT Carson knife has become my favorite, carry-it-all-the-time pocket pet. I sort of collect knives - within the limits of a retirement budget. I cannot shell out a couple of hundred bucks for a new toy. But the Carson has the design, the heft, and the build quality of a much more expensive knife. It is out of the box super sharp, for openers, with a nicely designed, ground and finished blade. Opening, however, is a problem: the construction it is so tight it took two hands to open the knife enough to trigger the opening assist. It took an email to Columbia River, the purchase of a number six torx wrench and a lot of flexing with knife oil to open with one hand. After practice I can now open it efficiently most of the time. The struggle is worth it - love this knife.

I would have preferred a lock-back but, is fine after the fact. Seems to be High Quality!.

Excellent service and a very fine knife. My only dismay is the location of the thumb push, which if it were slightly closer to the point would open much more easily. I would recommend this knife and would purchase it again.

Very nice knife, though I did not like the clip so removed it. Once I worked out the locking mechanism was very pleased. Arrived sharp unlike some other knives
