Gerber Guardian Back Up Survival Boot Knife
Be prepared for anything with this rugged survival boot knife from Gerber. The Guardian Back-up features a 3.41-inch spear point blade with a non-reflective black coating perfect for a wide variety of high-intensity cutting situations. Its Santoprene-covered nylon handle reduces slippage, making it an ideal option for inclement weather or messy situations.
Although you should never judge a book by its cover, the look of the Guardian Back-up is impossible to ignore. The strong black paint job and aggressive lines of the symmetrical knife give it an intimidating look no one will want to mess with.
Versatile enough to clip to your boot, belt or strap, the knife will always be close at hand. Even more important is the adjustable withdraw tension on the sheath, which allows you to modify it to your preferences.
We all need to have a backup plan for when life throws us a curveball, and you won't find a more reliable backup than this boot knife.

In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades®. The unique style and high quality manufacturing of Gerber cutlery soon developed wide spread acclaim. In fact, Gerber Legendary Blades are the only cutlery on display in New YorkÂs famous Museum of Modern Art.
From very early on, Gerber collaborated with top knife designers, setting a standard of quality for everyone else to follow. Renowned designers such as Al Mar, Bob Loveless, Paul Poehlmann, "Blackie" Collins, William Harsey Jr. and Ernest Emerson have all designed knives for Gerber. In 2002 this tradition continued as Gerber released the Silver TridentÂ, designed by Chief James "Patches" Watson (U.S.N. Ret.) and Bill Harsey Jr.
Today, Gerber continues to design and manufacture unique, high quality outdoor recreation products. In 2003 we are proud to introduce the next generation of multi-tools: the Recoil Auto-Plier. By constantly utilizing new technology and innovative design to develop new products, Gerber continues to be an industry leader.

This is a professional fixed blade knife that takes a mighty serious cut at self defense. It features blackenedand therefore non-reflectivestainless steel in a 3/4 tang blade. Its lightweight. Its compact. Its effortless to carry, and agile to use. Importantly, the Santoprene-covered nylon handle is very much at home in the hand of those who take on lifes nastier tasks.
Don't overlook the patented sheath. It lets you adjust the withdraw tension to suit your individual style. Clip it to your boot or belt or your strap, and you'll never be without a reliable back-up.
This knife is excellent. It fits perfect on my boot, the sheath is great and the knife itself is super sharp with a great grip. Well worth the price.
Great weight really balanced. Great edges. Really like how you can change the tension needed to pull the knife out. Multi use sheath. You can pretty much attach it anywhere.
I like the size it is small enough for low top boot and the double edge blade is very nice. Only complaint is plastic sheath has adjustments on each side that make it very noisy when walking.
The size of the knife is perfect for concealment in my boot. My only problem is when the knife arrived I was expecting it to be Sharp, the knife had no edge on it, dull as hell.
Quality knife, if it came with a better sheath I would have rated it higher but the knife is balanced and feels very comfortable in your hand.
