Gerber Gator Pocket Knife (Clip Point, Serrated Edge)
The Gerber Gator pocket knife comes from the single best all-weather commercial pocket knife line in the world---like an alligator, the Gerber Gator glides effortlessly through the swamp, or any other landscape for that matter.
When Gerber introduced its line of Gator knives to the world in the early '90s, it was named the "Most Innovative Knife of the Year" at the 1991 BLADE Show. Now, more than 25 years later, the Gerber Gator remains as popular and badass as ever.
Proudly made up in Portland, Oregon, the Gerber Gator is an everyday carry that's become synonymous with craftsmanship and durability.
The 3.76-inch blade on this version features a partially serrated clip point that allows for maximum versatility. Made from 420HC stainless steel, the blade is resistant to corrosion, easy to sharpen, and durable. The knife stays engaged via a classic backlock mechanism.
But what gives the Gator its name is the handle made from glass-filled nylon. Rubberized alligator skin texture gives a comfortable and secure grip, whether you're gliding through the swamps of Louisiana or hiking the Rocky Mountains.
The Gator comes with a ballistic nylon sheath for easy carry.

In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades®. The unique style and high quality manufacturing of Gerber cutlery soon developed wide spread acclaim. In fact, Gerber Legendary Blades are the only cutlery on display in New YorkÂs famous Museum of Modern Art.
From very early on, Gerber collaborated with top knife designers, setting a standard of quality for everyone else to follow. Renowned designers such as Al Mar, Bob Loveless, Paul Poehlmann, "Blackie" Collins, William Harsey Jr. and Ernest Emerson have all designed knives for Gerber. In 2002 this tradition continued as Gerber released the Silver TridentÂ, designed by Chief James "Patches" Watson (U.S.N. Ret.) and Bill Harsey Jr.
Today, Gerber continues to design and manufacture unique, high quality outdoor recreation products. In 2003 we are proud to introduce the next generation of multi-tools: the Recoil Auto-Plier. By constantly utilizing new technology and innovative design to develop new products, Gerber continues to be an industry leader.
