The service men and women of the coalition forces in the Middle East and Afghanistan require cutting tools that can stand up to the harsh demands of the desert. Our Carson Desert Tactical Folders have been developed specifically to blend into the desert environment.

Our M16-14ZSFmodel features our super rigid InterFrame build with 420J2 stainless steel liners, threaded stainless steel back spacers, and Desert Camo pattern glass filled nylon scales. The blade is a non-reflective bead-blast finished AUS 8 stainless steel. It blends and almost disappears in the desert.

Our tactical SF model features two Carson Flippers, resulting in a true hilt when the blade is opened. Our Big Dog glass filled nylon version has a 3.875" (98 mm) blade and full-size handle with a pommel which is exceptionally powerful in tactical situations. Weight is a hefty 6.3 oz. (179 g).

It features our exclusive patented* AutoLAWKS safety, which automatically turns the folder into a fixed blade when the blade is opened and locked.

One-hand opening and closing is quick and smooth, the result of precision tolerances and lubrous washers at the blade pivot. The dual ambidextrous thumb studs with checkered surfaces provide instant access in any circumstance.

The blade has Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges.

Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT), is a Tualatin, Oregon-based manufacturer of knives, tools, and accessories founded in 1994.

CRKT means Quality. All CRKT knives and tools are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be built—without compromising quality in any part of their creation. CRKT accessories are crafted to the same standards as the knives, so that each sheath, for example, lives up to the customers’ high expectations.

Sport & Work Knives

CRKT continues to "think outside the box" by seeking out new and unique designs and mechanisms, just when everyone in the industry thinks they have seen it all. For example, the company is introducing the tiny McGinnis Shrimp, the

Gekkota Pocket and Golf, the ExiTool, Ta-Bar Tool, Norfork Diver and Whitewater, and Klecker NIRK— all exciting and unusual. At the same time, it continues to broaden it’s traditional knife models, including for the first time, Classic pocket knives, as well as the Centofante Tribute, Carson M4-02 series, and the Delegate and Vertex lines.

More natural and premium materials.

CRKT is continuing to specify the natural and premium materials that are common in the best custom knives, including more knives

with layered Micarta, G10, stag, jig bone, white bone, ram horn, and hardwoods such as thuya root, cocobolo, ebony, walnut, and burl.

CRKT Limited Lifetime Warranty: This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defect, we’ll replace the knife. This warranty runs as long as you own your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way.

The process was fast, easy and the shipping was ahead of schedule. I bought this knife to replace the one that I lost at work and the price was almost half that of Cabelas where I purchased my first one. This is a very good site and the knife is fantastic, anyone who needs a new knife should shop here.

This is an excellent knife. The liner lock is very well designed such that it wedges into a concave surface, making jamming nearly impossible and one finger release easy time after time. The one complaint is that the Zytel material is slippery, and I had to cut a criss-cross pattern with an x-acto knife to give it "grip". Other than that, it is an incredibly good knife for the price.

It is exactly what I hoped for! I will carry it hiking.

This knife is worth every penny. I'm no knife expert, but I carry it on me every day and it is like a "tool" for me. It is very well made and the pocket clip can be placed in 4 different locations, so it can be carried in any possible way safely. I am very satisfied!

I love the knife! It is a nice size, good weight, double Quillan and nice safety feature. Razor sharp is no exaggeration and the locking mechanism is superb. It opens in a flash!
