**Great beginner set**

There's nothing easy about flinging 12-inch knives at a distant bullseye, which is why top-quality equipment is crucial for novice or professional knife throwers. Few throwers beat the quality of this set of throwing knives from Hibben.

The three knives, each a solid piece of 420 stainless steel, have an outstanding balance and weight that'll give you accurate throwing every single time. Also, the ergonomic design allows for variations in your technique.

These knives are great for beginners, but even professional throwers swoon over this set. An inscription on the 6.5-inch double-edged blade marks the approval of the International Knife Throwers Hall of Fame, so it's no joke.

In case you're not familiar with Gil Hibben, the custom knifemaker carries a long history of respected designs and a strong reputation as someone with an eye for both functionality and flair. Bear in mind, this is the same guy who made his first Bowie knife at 15 out of some scrap metal and designed knives for a few of the Rambo movies.

Along with the 12-inch knives, the throwing set comes with a nice leather sheath in case you want to carry it to a friend's house or competition.

• Competition grade set of three knives

• Includes 18" x 18" paper competition target

• Designed by custom knife maker Gil Hibben.

• There is an inscription on the blade that says Inernational Knife Throwers Hall of Fame.

These are the largest and most fun of all the throwing knives I have owned. Very well balanced. Even after a month of use they are still very sharp.

Knives are well made, heavy (heavier than the Cold Steel true flight thrower)and throw great. And if you were curious yes you can get the handles to stick sometimes. The sheath is leather and really well made. It is built to last not some cheapie throw away. Clasp was really tight when I first got it but with time it is breaking in. You need this set!

I've been throwing knives for the last couple of years on a daily basis. In that time I've tried several different types of knives and have found the Hibben throwing knives to be one of the best. They are nicely balanced and are designed to slide out your hand when thrown, resulting in better throws. In addition, the are heavily constructed so that they don't easily bend or break after a few bad throws; nor do the tips break or bend (and then break off). I've been throwing these Hibben knives into a section of tree trunk ( which has a few hard spots in it) for the last few months on a daily basis and they are still going strong. I highly recommend them; they are reasonably priced, good throwers and will last. Gary

The knives are very well balanced. It is very easy to learn to throw them with either the no spin style, or the standard spin throw. The only thing that would bother me is the knives are not sharp. They do not always stick although that is a easy fix. I plan to purchase again.

I bought the throwing knives for my husband. He said it was the best birthday gift he got. I will always come back to order more from your company!

Really great, beautiful set of knives. Smooth handles make them very conclusive to a no-spin throwing style. Leather case is well made and sturdy. Only slight complaint is sometimes they have a little sticking issue because of slightly rounded point. But still, best set of knives I own.

1) the handles are rounded it doesn't A) dig into your hand B) if they hit each other it's better for the knives 2) They're well balanced. I'm new to knife throwing I like them I do recommend them.

Great heft and balance should be awesome on penetration. Working on a more substantial back stop before I continue!

These were very good knives, right up until one broke in half when I threw it against a piece of wood at medium speed. Hoping I just got a bad batch of steel...

Good quality Stainless Steel, strong point, balanced but the blades are too sharp and get damaged too easy. The S shaped handle makes it harder to have consistent throws than the Dismissal or Pro Balance. Stainless Steel is low maintenance though, which I like enough to have bought three of these and is my 4th favorite thrower. I dulled the blades on concrete to improve the knife.

It is sturdy and can stick hitting either end but the shape of the knife makes it hard to throw the same way each time and therefore it is hard to stick compared to Cold Steel Pro Balance. It also has an annoying ring when you miss. It is also a good quality Stainless Steel so you can throw in the rain or in wet ground without a care.
