Though it may look intimidating, you should really give this throwing knife a shot. Shaped like the weapons that our ancient ancestors threw at wild aurochs and mammoths, this 15", 2 lbs. throwing knife is packed with power. It takes some practice to get a feel for the Torpedo, but once you've mastered it, you'll never want to go back. Its double points make sticking a cinch, and its 1055 carbon steel material won't dull or break with use. The Torpedo hits hard and fast, making it perfect for throwing, hunting, and self-defense.

I've had these in the past and are a great way to spend time "chunkin" while you're camping. The kids love them!!

If throwing with a purpose is your aim, the Torpedo is excellent. It's weight "might" be a small issue for some, but it is without a doubt a powerful and fairly simple weapon of defense or just throwing at a target. It will do the job without a doubt!!!

Awesome throwing product. We used an old table and after one hour of throwing it was reduced to wood. The torpedo is surprising heavy and you would only have full use of this with some strength in your arms. If you wanna do maximum damage this is the product for you. Can't nearly believe the penetration power of it and it brakes nearly every thing

Really cool knife! It is so heavy, it even broke the board we where throwing at with the flat side. We weren't very accurate and didn't hit it with the ends, more practice needed.

Unbelievable A deadly weapon. You will need a holster to carry it. It is much larger than you think. Excellent at throwing.

This is a excellent throwing style knife. I have bought and throwing knives for years and am good at them. Do not waste your money on cheap knives. spend the couple extra dollars and get a good one like this. This is unique due to its design and takes a little time to get used to but you can take down a small bear with this! even if you don't land the throw the shear impact is enough to break bones. The construction is simple, it is very well balanced and will last a life time if treated properly. Well worth having to your arsenal!

I have a similar one but its 7", not 15" Therefore I think it was designed to be thrown like an ax.

It is heavier than I thought, therefore it is easier to throw as an ax or knife. It also works with a no-spin throw but it requires lots of practice. I think It was designed to be thrown no-spin.

This is an unusual item, but you can't deny Cold Steel's quality. This thing is sturdy. It's also heavier than I expected, which means when you tag a target, you really tag a target. Do to its weight and heft, I recommend a solid wood target surface as it just mauls up plywood and such. You will also need to adjust your throwing style. The Torpedo throws a lot more like an axe than it does a knife.

The Torpedo was much heavier then expected. Much to bulky to throw with any accuracy or speed.
