This was given as a Christmas gift. The person who they were given to loved them. What really made it special was the fact of having his name engraved into the pieces. This gift was well received and loved.
The knives are very sharp, my wife seems to like them.
Great knives. Very sharp, well balanced, very useful sizes. The only complaint I had was with the large knife, on the cutting edge side up near the handle where the edge ended (the 90 degree angle) this point was like a needle. It should have been ground off. I actually cut myself while getting the knife out of the holder.
Be careful these knives are very sharp. I've only had them for about a month now but they're staying just as sharp too. Handles are slightly cushiony and slip resistant. Very pleased with these knives.

An absolutely phenomenal set of knives. For the beginner chef, I would highly recommend spending the money on this set.
With the steel composition of the blades, these knives become very sharp, very quickly using a diamond hone. I use the chef knife almost daily and it holds its edge for a couple of weeks.
