A quality reproduction product that was made better by a reasonable price. Thank You, I will enjoy this for years
For the price point I got exactly what I wanted in this knife. I give it 5 stars based on that. I've had $150 dollar knives that I've lost after one field problem. I wanted a down and dirty punching and stabbing knife to carry that could do just that without having to worry about caring too much if I lost it. The quality of this replica trench knife is above and beyond that of the cheaper m1918 that DudK has to offer. I have both. Add to that the great service and speedy shipment and it was a win win.
A well made knife. Very nice!
This knife was not for myself it was a gift for Christmas for someone they were very pleased with it.
Solid replica of a good fighting knife.
Awesome knife. I was looking for it for a long time. This one is nicer than I expected.
The knife was a quality product! Well built and extremely well balanced. I purchased it as a gift and the receiver was thrilled. Thank you Knife Depot.
This was a very nice buy! LOVE IT,
Excellent product. Excellent quality.
This knife looks good from a distance, but up close you can see the knuckle guard is painted brass, the 1918 is too large compared to the real one, mine came with a loose blade, but tighten up the point on the end of the handle and it tightens up... the blade is also stainless steel it's okay for the price.
Great item, my boyfriend loved it as he's very into WW1 memorabilia. The only "flaw" is the huge made in china imprint that's stamped on the knife, other than I would have given it 5 stars.
Overall I would say I am very satisfied. However, that is only because I purchased this knife purely for looks. It is very cheaply made, and is quite susceptible to scratching and other forms of damage. If you're looking for authenticity or a well-functioning knife, this is not it. However, if you want it because it "looks cool", it will perform.
This knife appears to me to be a cheaply-built copy of the original. The handle is made of several pieces instead of a solid casting. The "M1918" on the handle is printed or silk-screened rather than part of the casting. I had to do a little mechanical work on it to get it ready for use. The leather on the scabbard is thin. The blade is sharp. Not a knife I will count on.
The is okay but the handle is cheep trash, and its not full tang.
Cheaply made, Not at all what I expected, glorified letter opener. total bummer purchase.
First, if you're gonna get this stuff from china, you better put that in the description. This knife is poorly made. The blade is extremely thin for its length, and is poorly tack welded to a threaded rod that runs through the handle. The little spike on the butt if the knife is actually pretty solid. But the threaded part of the rod that it screws on to was stripped, so when I tightened it with my hand it would slip off. The handle is pretty good, nice solid feeling piece of cast brass. The only thing I would recommend this knife for is either a display piece. Or you can try to fit your own blade to it, which is what I'm going to try.
