Columbia River (CRKT) M4-02 Carson White Bone Single Blade Pocket Knife
Although legendary knifemaker Kit Carson is probably best known for creating the revered M16 series with CRKT, the M4 had become Kit's most consistent selling custom knife since 1990 and for good reason. The knife was a work of art.
This version of the M4 is smaller than the original and the perfect size for an everyday carry.
The knife has a 3.25-inch drop point blade made of 8Cr13MoV steel with a plain edge and a hollow grind. Featuring a bead-blasted finish, the blade locks into place using the LAWKS mechanism to prevent accidental closure when in use.
The CRKT M4-02 has handsome white bone scales and black G10 bolsters.
Since a knife is only as good as how fast you can deploy it, the M4-02 features the Outburst assisted opening mechanism that allows for quick one-handed opening when the ambidextrous thumb stud is pushed out.
Includes a high-mounted pocket clip.

Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT), is a Tualatin, Oregon-based manufacturer of knives, tools, and accessories founded in 1994.
CRKT means Quality. All CRKT knives and tools are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be builtÂwithout compromising quality in any part of their creation. CRKT accessories are crafted to the same standards as the knives, so that each sheath, for example, lives up to the customers high expectations.
Sport & Work Knives
CRKT continues to "think outside the box" by seeking out new and unique designs and mechanisms, just when everyone in the industry thinks they have seen it all. For example, the company is introducing the tiny McGinnis Shrimp, the
Gekkota Pocket and Golf, the ExiTool, Ta-Bar Tool, Norfork Diver and Whitewater, and Klecker NIRKÂ all exciting and unusual. At the same time, it continues to broaden itÂs traditional knife models, including for the first time, Classic pocket knives, as well as the Centofante Tribute, Carson M4-02 series, and the Delegate and Vertex lines.
More natural and premium materials.
CRKT is continuing to specify the natural and premium materials that are common in the best custom knives, including more knives
with layered Micarta, G10, stag, jig bone, white bone, ram horn, and hardwoods such as thuya root, cocobolo, ebony, walnut, and burl.
CRKT Limited Lifetime Warranty: This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defect, weÂll replace the knife. This warranty runs as long as you own your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way.

The knife is well made, looks great, and the blade is holding its edge. I really like this knife and carry it daily. For the price, you can not beat this knife.
I have always been impressed with CRKT. The fit and quality of their knives is consistently top notch. This particular knife is beautiful. From the bone handle to the shape and sharpness of the blade. I couldn't be more pleased. Also the engraving I ordered for the blade was perfect. THANK YOU Knife Depot!!!
I got this knife ,and immediately loved it. It is a very sturdy ,handsome knife. I especially like the assisted open, very smooth action. It was super sharp, and holds a fine edge readily. The belt clip is a bit stiff, but that is a good thing,I don't want this one to get away.
Very well made, great looking knife.
Great knife! It opens fast and locks up tightly with out any detectable play at all. Surprisingly hefty for its size. Blade is good and sharp and centers perfectly when closed. It is certainly a good looking knife. I am very well pleased with my purchase.
Great knife I use it almost everyday stays sharp and easy to touch up I bought two for my friends
Great knife quick action and very solid.
This is the first CRKT that I purchased and was quite pleased with the quality of it, and it definitely won't be the last.
First of all I am very happy with my purchase. The (CRKT) M4-02 with the white bone handles is one of the best looking knives I have ever purchased, but it reaches much further than cosmetics. The assisted opening mechanism works perfectly. It's super easy to open with one hand and it locks securely into place, ready for any of your toughest cutting needs safely. The blade itself is made from a high carbon steel which is going to make it sharpen well and hard enough to hold a sharp edge longer. I was so impressed with this knife I ordered 2 more so I have one whit bone handle, one with stag handles, and one with Burl wooden handles. This is one of the higher quality of knives you will find with the low price the a Knife Depot sells it for. For quality and price your just not going to find a better deal, believe me I checked the same knife from the CRKT web site and it was priced almost 25% lower at the Knife Depot than the manufacturers web store. If your looking for a quality knife at its lowest price you can't do any better than The Knife Depot. You won't be disappointed.
This was my first purchase from The Knife Depot, and my first CRKT I have ever owned. What a great knife, I am totally impressed with the knife, as it is now one of my every day Carrys. The quality of workmanship is on the upper level of the spectrum, as is the outward appearance, I have shown it to all my friends and family. I would also like to say the people at Knife Depot did a great job with my order, with very prompt delivery, and the on line ordering was a very simple process. Working on my next order right now, they have such a large selection of quality knives, its hard to decide which ones to order next.. If your looking for a quality knife by a company you can trust The Knife Depot is the place, you won't be disappointed.
A really nice knife: size and weight are great for pocket carry; really nice blade-shape, and it is quite sharp. I like the assisted opening, had not had one before. Only drawback for me is the pocket clip; I just don't like them...never have and probably never will. I always end up removing them, I don't find them convenient for pocket carry, and since I like opening one-handed, I find that the pocket clip usually interferes with that. Fit and finish were very good and I've used the knife for all sorts of odd jobs (which is kind of the point of a pocket knife) without any issues.
Good quality. Nice spring action. Good addition to my collection.
Little hard to get it to release. Have to press pretty hard and the knife being a little small sometimes annoying
Good sturdy knife with quick action opening and lock. Would recommend purchase as blade has great steel, and so far is holding its' edge - though I bought it for collection purposes mostly; however, have used the blade for cutting in the kitchen a few times and seems to be holding up well overall. For the price you can't go wrong. Recommend - buy.
Nice Knife but the thumb stud needs to be re-designed. The stud should be angled like the Kershaw Ken Onion.
