The Cold Steel Peace Maker II is not your average fixed blade knife. With its discreet design, this knife can be easily carried clipped to the top of your boot and covered by your pant leg, making it virtually invisible. Experience unparalleled comfort as the boot top carries the weight, suspending the knife to prevent rubbing or irritation.

Don't let its slim profile fool you. Weighing a mere 4.7 ounces and measuring less than half an inch at its thickest point, this is one of the lightest and thinnest knives available. The Peace Maker II's "Scandi" ground blade bevel makes resharpening a breeze, while its uniquely designed compound ground clip point provides superior piercing power without compromising cutting ability.

Versatility is at the core of this knife. Whether you need it for utility tasks, hunting, fishing, or self-defense, the Peace Maker II is up to the challenge. Its thin rectangular handle features subtle contouring and a pronounced palm swell, ensuring a secure and comfortable grip. The double quillon guard protects your fingers, while the thumb trough in the butt allows for a sturdy reverse grip.

Crafted with expertise, the deeply textured handle is inspired by Robbie Barkman's famous Glock grip reductions, giving you the leverage you need to maximize cutting and piercing power. The ambidextrous Secure-Ex sheath included with this knife is cut and stab resistant, impervious to the elements, and will never crack, rot, mildew, or lose its shape. Plus, the custom-made stainless steel belt clip ensures the sheath stays securely attached to your boot or belt even when the knife is drawn.

Peace-Maker II: Excellent for Very Reasonably Priced Knife

I’ve bought a few other Knives from Cold Steel, in my opinion they’ve all been excellent values.

This Peace Maker II with 5.5” blade is at the large end for use as a Boot Knife, could serve well as utility Outdoor/Hunting Knife, and even as a Fighting Knife if necessary. Steel is “German 4116,” and looking for info, I found it’s a good stainless steel for value-priced knives, with good corrosion resistance and toughness, not hard to sharpen, with a Rockwell Hardness of 56. The blade came sharp enough to easily shave arm hair, and nicely polished but not to a mirror finish. Quite appropriate for the uses mentioned.

The handle is a good shape to grip during hard use, a non-slip synthetic hard-rubber type material, with an excellent texture. Grippy even when wet, although I’ve only tried it with water, not animal blood or fat yet. The sheath is a basic and usable plastic with a very stiff Stainless Steel belt or boot-top clip. Clip will work best with up to 13/8” wide belt; I may modify it a bit to make it a little easier to get on a belt.

Cold Steel has this Knife, and a lot of their other value-priced Knives, made in Taiwan. My experience is that the Cutlers there are making very good knives. And politically, a product from Taiwan, an ally of the US, is FAR preferable to purchasing goods made in communist mainland China.

In my opinion, this Knife rates Five Stars.

Knife seems very well constructed and very sharp right out of the box. Grip very comfortable and fits my hand perfectly. Love secure-ex sheath. Very pleased with purchase.
