Want a survival knife that won't cost an arm and a leg but will save your behind? Grab the Schrade SCHF26 Extreme survival knife. This full tang fixed blade boasts a 5.4-inch drop point blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. Black coating reduces the reflective properties of the steel and gives the knife a cohesive look. The blade features aggressive jimping, a subtle recurve, and a prominent swedge.

Textured TPE overlay handle slabs offer a secure grip in even the most slippery conditions. Ergonomic grooves create a comfortable grip that feels good in your hand during hard use.

The survival knife comes with a ballistic nylon belt sheath with a storage pouch for necessities.

This is one tough and serious knife. The blade is thick and hollow ground with a very useful shape. This is one of the best knives that I own. I highly recommend it because of price point and value. I think anyone looking for a practical knife should consider this one. The Knife Depot was quick and reliable.

I purchased this item because I liked the way it looked in the infomercial. I wasn't disappointed. This is a heavy, beefy knife that came with a very keen edge. I have heard complaints about the sheath that came with this knife, but other than to say my personal preference in sheath material is kydex, I have no complaints. I really like the gimping on this knife as it aids in control for fine tasks. I haven't a chance to take this knife into the field yet,so it's reliability is unproven.Otherwise,I would given it a full five stars.

A good, rugged blade looks indestructible good firm handle, but a little bit too clubby for my personal taste.
