Gerber Myth Ratcheting Pruner
Designed by professional hunters and guides, the Myth series offers a well articulated assemblage of products for use in the field during and after a successful hunt. With slim profiles and lightweight, durable designs, the Myth line sets a new standard for hunting knives and accessories, serving to safely and efficiently manage all aspects of the business of hunting whether in the field or at camp.
Packing along this heavy-duty Myth Ratcheting Pruner makes perfect sense for the avid hunter who seeks to clear the area for easy sight lines with minimal effort, so as not to hit exhaustion before the wait for game begins. The pruner does its job of cutting heavy branches with zero fuss, its hardened, precision-ground blades staying sharp through regular heavy use. The low friction coating on the blades keeps them smooth and doesn't allow tree sap to adhere and cause the pruner to grow sticky and useless. The lock situated between the handles opens smoothly but keeps the Myth Ratcheting Pruner safely closed while carrying it to and from the field, or when stored away.
The brawny all-metal construction Myth Ratcheting Pruner, backed by Fiskars Technology, is ready to work with its structured ratcheting system and easy to pull rubber handles. You'll carry it into and out of the field with ease, given its lightweight structure, and find the tool doing nearly all of the work for you in clearing sight lines for the hunt, leaving you energy to spare for when you require it most.

In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades®. The unique style and high quality manufacturing of Gerber cutlery soon developed wide spread acclaim. In fact, Gerber Legendary Blades are the only cutlery on display in New YorkÂs famous Museum of Modern Art.
From very early on, Gerber collaborated with top knife designers, setting a standard of quality for everyone else to follow. Renowned designers such as Al Mar, Bob Loveless, Paul Poehlmann, "Blackie" Collins, William Harsey Jr. and Ernest Emerson have all designed knives for Gerber. In 2002 this tradition continued as Gerber released the Silver TridentÂ, designed by Chief James "Patches" Watson (U.S.N. Ret.) and Bill Harsey Jr.
Today, Gerber continues to design and manufacture unique, high quality outdoor recreation products. In 2003 we are proud to introduce the next generation of multi-tools: the Recoil Auto-Plier. By constantly utilizing new technology and innovative design to develop new products, Gerber continues to be an industry leader.
