This is a lot of knife for the money. After getting the SCHF36 and seeing how well it handles heavy cutting and splitting chores I am sure i will order the other knives in the Frontier series.

Love Schrade blades. This is the second one I've purchased. This one fits the hand. No hot spots when using. Comfortable. Good edge right out of the box. Batons well. Great size for camp/survival tasks. Great price. Quick delivery.

Knife is a great buy. Its a good, solid and sturdy made knife and sheath. The sharpener and fire starter are just a bonus. I bought this as a Christmas gift but, I'm seriously thinking of buying one for myself. All around great buy.

Very well made. I love the proportion between blade thickness and width. It came with a great edge on it but a good sharpening session is in order. The craftsmanship is excellent. Unlike so many things that you buy there were no flaws in this piece.

This is one of the outstanding Schrade SCHF offerings for the year 2015. The SCHF36 Frontier Knife is one where, IMHO Schrade finally got it all right. From the knife to the sheath, I was 100% pleased. I own many Schrade knives, and six different SCHF blades, but there always seemed to be a problem somewhere. If not the knife, it was the sheath. Nothing really major, but just enough to sour the cream. I never sent any of the back, but worked around the problems. The purchases always seemed worth the money they charged, so I still deemed them a good value. I kept hoping Schrade would come out with another SCHF9 type knife where it seemed it all *clicked for them. Well, they did. :) The specs on this knife are documented, but suffice it to say that I have started to recommend these on Online Knife forums and FB Groups. The Steel is good, the sheaths are good, the handles are comfortable...and the user will be pleased! I heard that there was a production glitch with a few of the pre-Christmas sales, (apparently the spine was crooked) but with that, I also heard that the warranty was honored, and the problem was solved. My knife was as perfect as it can be, and kudos to Schrade for taking the time and effort to listen to the consumer, and for giving us what we want at an affordable price.

I purchased this knife or a friend. I was so impressed I purchased another one. I made some slight modifications like removing the coating on the blade and squaring up the tang. For the money this is an excellent survival knife. It was so cheap I didn't feel bad about making several alterations.

I like everything about this knife. It is sharp right out of the box with a quality fire rod and diamond sharpener. I have had no issues with this knife or the sheath. For me, the size is perfect for bushcraft. The blade is plenty thick and battoning should never be an issue. I highly recommend this knife. Don't hesitate, buy it from Knife-Depot. They have the best price and fast shipping.

This blade is one of the best I've ever had. It holds an edge and takes all the punishment you can give it. I did put a micarda handle on it and like it very well. SCHRADE out did themselves with this knife this time. I plan on getting the SCH37 next. I also have a SCH13 as my EDC. I've used both of these and abused them to no end and will never replace either one.

This is really the best knife I have ever purchased. It has not let me down at all.

This knife is B/A . Thick fits good in the hand and it's 1095 high carbon steel! Sharpens very easy. The finger coil helps with small delicate work. For the under $40 range you will not find a better camp bush craft knife. The diamond steel is neat and the feral rod spark like lighting and come's with a sweet striker. The black grip gives good grip wet or dry. Only thing I do not love it the coating which I stripped off and the sheath is okay. I like to have my knife scout style and it takes work to make it happen.

Great product. Tough, sharp, well designed. Took back one star cause I think the black coating will come off quickly. If experience proves me wrong, I'll try to remember to return and go to 5 stars

This is a great knife. Perfect size, full tang and thickness makes it a knife anyone would enjoy having in their possession in time of need for bushcraft or survival. I'd would give it 5 stars if not for the powder coating. Black nitride would be a better coating in my opinion but great knife otherwise. I actually plan on buying 2 more.

Nice looking knife, I think it will serve me well. But was going to give as a gift item had tape cut on box and the plastic bag that the knife came in was torn open.
