I bought this to replace same model that was lost. This is a great pocket knife for the money! It is easy to sharpen and holds an edge very well.

The knife appears the same as the ones I have owned for 25 years. But it appears Schrade moved production of them to China. Hopefully the quality of materials will be the same as past knives made in the USA.

I've always had an old timer knife as far as I can use it for every thing. I highly recommend it to everyone I know! Thanks a lot for it!

I love this knife! I bought one originally for filleting trout because of its thin blade. It is very sharp and sturdy. The last was used to clean geese and fillet the breasts. I lost the original recently while working and had to look around a bit to find the exact same one. You can not beat the price.

I have carried an "old timer" for many, many years. It is a simple straight forward utility knife that I use in some manner every single day. I am totally lost without it.

I have been carrying one of these for about twenty years and glad for the replacement. I haven't found a better or safer knife for the money due to the locking design.

I am 64 and I have owned many pocket knives over the years. Some, like Buck knives are too big and the blade is too thick. Oh, they are fine if you are taking on a Black Bear or chopping down a tree but they are not good for fine cutting and they are difficult to sharpen. Other knives have a lock-back mechanism on the back of the knife which I don't like. The, "Old Timer" has a better locking mechanism at the base of the blade that is easier to use. I have been using the, "Old Timer" now for a couple of months and the blade is still sharp. The knife looks good, feels good, and most importantly works good. It is the best knife I have ever owned. Get one!

This is exactly the pocket knife I wanted: one single blade with lock, old-time vintage look and top quality. I carry it with me everyday in the city and when I go out in the country.

This was a great knife but the blade was a little loose but not to bad but other then that it is great

I ordered the knife as a backup to the original Trapper made in the USA (almost lost it). I was aware at the time I ordered the knives that they were made in China, but when compared to the USA made knife, the bolsters are not as thick, the brass along the inside of the back of the knife is not as substantial as the USA made version and the knife doesn't open and close with the same snap as the original. I'm sure it will work for cleaning birds and the like, but it just isn't made the same as the ones made in the USA. By the way, I ordered two knives and received one in a large cardboard envelope with one corner loose. I sent an email to let you know about the missing knife, which was acknowledged via email with regrets and a commitment to send the second knife (not received at this time). I am very satisfied with the speed of service and follow-up and would recommend your website to my friends.
