The RJ Tactical 3.0 is a classic collaboration between custom knifemaker RJ Martin and Kershaw's blade engineers. The compact 3-inch blade folds closed into a 4-inch handle, making this a right-sized tactical knife that's at home taking on tasks in the out of doors, on the jobsite, or in the office.

The blade is made of quality 8Cr13MoV steel, which Kershaw heat treats to bring out its very best high-performance characteristics - the ability to take and hold an edge, strength, and hardness. The handle is durable glass-filled nylon with comfortable finger contours and a matte look.

The handle also offers heavy back jimping for an extra-secure grip. The RJ Tactical 3.0 opens with SpeedSafe assisted opening and the built-in flipper. A locking liner secures the blade open during use. We added a reversible pocket clip for left- or right-handed carry in this good-looking tactical knife.

I bought one of these knifes as a pocket knife. I live in northern Michigan and go deer hunting after work, the first time out during bow season I forgot to bring my hunting knife and was lucky enough to get a 7 point buck and gutted it with this knife, it worked great as good as my Buck folder. During the season I got 3 more deer and gutted all of them with this small knife. When I clean a deer I cut all the way through the ribs to the throat, this knife did great with just a touch up on the blade each time. It's a great knife I'm buying another one for a backup in case I lose this one, only problem it's hard to find on the ground in the dark. I'm already bought the bigger version and painted it orange, for next year. The original knife continues to work great can't be beat for the money.
