When small gentleman folders simply can't cut it, the Old Timer 125OT Mustang is the perfect solution. This knife has a hefty 4.5-inch clip point blade that folds out of the handle via a nail nick. Although the knife uses a slipjoint so it doesn't lock open, it can reliably hold its own against any mundane task you'll encounter around the house.

Like most Old Timers, the Mustang features a Delrin handle held into place by iconic bolsters that give it a truly classy look and feel. If you're not inclined to slip the knife into your pocket, it also comes with a leather sheath that goes well with formal attire.

Just because you're a gentleman doesn't mean you have to sacrifice size on your folder.

I bought one of these thirty years ago, carried it for decades, love it. This new version seems almost as good, except they took out the liner lock, have no idea why, there's no reason to take it out. The shape and cut are the same though the handle is now thinner. Without the liner lock it's just another pocket knife only too large. The blade sets open very well, it's not like it's going to suddenly fall back on your hand, I just like being confident that in large-blade situations involving heavy items or equipment the blade is securely locked forward. I've called Schrade and told them if they put the liner lock back in I'd pay twice as much. The handle is huge, great for people with large hands or when wearing gloves or when cold and tired. The sheath is cut a little differently now, it's slightly more difficult to draw the knife than it was before.

This is a very good knife that holds an edge very well! I only wish it was a lock blade.

In no way does it compare with the real Schrade mustang. It has no lanyard hole this is bad. I wove a toggle years ago so I could leave it in my pocket and clip it to a belt loop or just let it hang. I would never even consider one without the liner lock. I would LOVE to have a new one. Why did they get cheap? They need to name it something else.
