The Uncle Henry Golden Spike is the best hunting knife I have ever owned. It's blade holds a very good edge, and it sharpens exceptionally well. I am an avid hunter, and I depend on a good quality knife for skinning and field dressing game especially Deer. It is not only a beautiful design, it is sharp and practical for my needs. it is a very reasonably priced knife of such great quality. I have always preferred Schrade knives, and they are the only hunting knife I will carry in field. Great value, Great quality!

The knife is very well balanced and easy to grip. It's perfect for camping/fishing. The stone that comes with it is coarse and could have been a finer grit. The sheath is a little hard to fasten the snap, but I'm sure it will stretch with use. This knife is great for the money!

I bought my first Scharade Golden Spike many years ago and have used it on every hunt I've been on ever since. I didn't even know that they were still available until I saw it on your site. I gave the one I ordered to my grandson for Christmas and he was equally as thrilled as I have always been with it. He'll use it for a lifetime, as will I. I've dressed two complete caribou with my Golden Spike, including boning them out, and never had to touch the blade. It just kept it's edge the whole time. That's a great knife in my opinion.

This is a great quality hunting knife and there was no time wasted in getting the product out. That is a huge plus in my book. I will have to say, the next knife purchase will be through your site. Thank you!

Thank you item has arrived and I like it, however I was disappointed as I was expecting it to be made in USA and not China made.

Good basic use knife. Good balance in your hand with a solid feel. Very nice blade design. Not the sharpest knife I've used but holds an edge fairly well. It would be much more desirable to me if it was real stag instead of "staglon". I think the knife is a little overpriced. Taking all that in consideration, is why I rated it a 4.

The knife itself is extremely well built, attractive and durable. The sheath; however, sits very high up on a belt and the narrow opening makes it difficult to return the knife to the sheath. I am looking at buying a different sheath. We tried wetting & stretching the leather but still is too narrow.

It is smaller than my Buck. I bought it for the pretty handle.

Was disappointed with how small they were and that Schrade makes there knives in China.

This was my fourth Golden Spike, the only one made by Taylor Brands. It is only cosmetically the same as the original production. Steel is more stain resistant but won't take or retain an edge well and is hollow ground rather than saber ground as before. Shake the knife and the handle rattles.
