KA-BAR Kukri Machete with Leather & Cordura Sheath
Measuring a solid 17 inches overall, the kukri machete boasts an 11.5-inch 1085 carbon steel blade. The design of the blade, which is modeled after the legendary kukri weapons of Nepal, features an inward curve that offers a versatility that a straight-edged machete cannot.
The sleek cohesive look of the machete extends down into the ergonomic Kraton G handle that's designed for a maximum grip. A protrusion on the pommel adds an extra sense of security when wielding this large tool.
It also includes a compact sheath made of Cordura and leather.

What is the story of the knife?
It does everything i wanted it to gardening branch trimming stubborn plants. I'm an 81 y/o lady living in Florida and have woods all around my house and do my own gardening and seldom use pruning shears anymore.
Outstanding. I Love the quality.
This a great kukri. Best machete I've ever owned. Although I'm a little disappointed that this blade was made in Taiwan. I was hoping it be made in the USA.
I order this knife because of different comments from guys I know and they were all saying the same thing I noticed,it fits nice, good weight, sharp edge and looks great.
The blade and handle is suitable for heaviest use and the handle allows sure grip throughout the project. K-Bar name carries it's reputation well with this instrument.
This is a high quality knife! Weight, balance and form are perfect! You can tell it's a KA-BAR.
Very sharp. Great handle and feel. Bought to cut down Banana trees and it works great. Very nice machete.
It is a great knife, strong and a great cutting edge.
An excellent tool, can with practice, cut through a 2" branch with one slash. I managed to make a tree fall with approximately an 8" trunk in around 5 minutes. It keeps its edge very well.
I don't know how I ever lived without it now that I finally got it!
I've used this knife in the field..its an awesome camping tool. I've used it to chop wood, clear brush, dig out splinters, etc. It is perfectly balanced and comfortable to hike with =)
This is great knife and another outstanding item from KA-BAR.
Ridiculously sharp! My roommate gave himself a nasty cut pretty quick. I have yet to field test it but the weight feels awesome and rugged. Plus its a KA-BAR!
Better than expected! KA-BAR is earning a new reputation for top quality products!
Though I have yet to use it, I like the feel of the machete. It's wieght is perfect for what I need to do. Thank you.
While the machete its self is a quality tool and blade, the "Ready to cut out of the box" is anything but. Maybe if you wanted to cut a carrot you could with a full swing. However besides the need for a sharpen, it is a very nice tool and I would recommend it.
It appears to be a solid tool that will stand up to the work I have planed for it!
Good feel and weight. Have not had a chance to try it out. Great price and fast shipping.
Kukri is awesome, good make and stability.
Very much regret to see the product is from Taiwan.

Making a quality KA-BAR product requires the talent of experienced craftspeople performing dozens of processes with precision and skill. Each knife undergoes specific manufacturing processes to ensure corrosion resistance, strength, edge holding ability, and an out-of-the-box razor sharp cutting edge.
Soon after its introduction in the mid-1920's, the KA-BAR trademark became widely known and respected. There have been many versions of how the KA-BAR name came to be, but all evidence points to a letter received from a fur trapper. This particular fur trapper's testimonial turned out to be the most significant ever received by the company.
He wrote, in very rough English, that his gun had jammed and that he had therefore relied on his knife to kill a wounded bear that was attacking him. In thanking the company for their quality product the trapper described using his knife to kill the bear. All that was legible of his scrawled writing was "k a bar". The company was so honored by this testimonial that they adopted this phrase and used it as their trademark, KA-BAR.
